With six students on its roll at the inception, the Institute now has an intake of 180 students for the Three-Year Diploma course, the highest in the country. Besides the institute has kept up its tradition of conducting various other need-based courses which are not conducted by other Institutes. |

IHM Mumbai, has won the much coveted award of excellence for the best Tourism Education Institution, awarded by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of India, for the Third year in succession. Besides in April 98, Principal S L Dhargalkar. Was the recipient of the Lions, Gold Award for his outstanding contribution to Hospitality Education. IHM Mumbai, conducts over 10 courses and trains over a thousand young people annually. The courses vary from a Three-Year Diploma Course in Hotel Management to the Post Diploma Course in Accommodation Operation & Management and the Dietetics Course. We also conduct the Craftsmanship Course in Food Production & Patisserie, which is of one and a half-year duration and the Certificate Course in Food & Beverage Service and the Hotel Management Course of six months duration.
